A 90-year-old Florida man has been charged for taking homeless people food.Arnold Abbott, who runs the group Love Thy Neighbor, was arrested for taking plates of food to homeless people at the beach in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday."One of the police officers said, 'Drop that plate right now,' as if I were carrying a weapon," Abbott told the Local10 television station.The city passed a bylaw recently that bans feeding the homeless in public. That took effect Friday.
My view:
Governments seems to pass any type of legislation they desire in the last few years. How can a municipal government even dream of passing and implementing this type of law given the poor state of the economy in Florida?
Fascism is becoming too comfortable for many of our government representatives.
