US State Department Orders 3D Printer Gun Blueprints Removal From Web

Defense Distributed, a non-profit organization that aims to defend the rights of citizens across the world to have access to arms, posted a note on Twitter confirming their project had “gone dark.”
On its website, the organization wrote: “Until further notice, the United States government claims control of the information.”
Two days after the blueprints were posted, they had been downloaded 100,000 times from users around the world, an organization spokesperson told Forbes.
