Does the market anticipate news before it happens?

With the action late in today's trading, does the market "know" that the report will surprise to the upside?

So will we get a pop to the upside and see new highs in the S&P by year end (and even before the election)?

My longer term bearish view still remains in place, as QE to infinity will prove much more finite in its tangible effects in the not too distant future.
