More Questions Than Answers On UK MP Assassination

MP's alleged killer 'bought manual on how to make a handgun and bombs

Duane St Louis, age 41, the suspect's half-brother and Mary's son with second husband Reginald St Louis, said Mair had obsessive compulsive disorder and cleaned himself with Brillo pads because he was 'obsessed with his personal hygiene'.
Speaking from his home in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, he added: 'He's never expressed any views about Britain, or politics or racist tendencies. I'm mixed race and I'm his half-brother, we got on well. He never married. The only time I remember him having a girlfriend was as a young man, but a mate stole her off him. He said that put him off [women] for life.'Mair, who was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland, also regularly helped his mother Mary Goodall, 69, who last night told friends she feels responsible for what he is alleged to have done.Rosemary Surman, 61, who is a friend of Mair's mother, Mary, told MailOnline today: 'Mary didn't know anything was wrong. It was a normal day and then we saw that on the news. She's just so sorry for those two little children who have lost their mum.'

She denied that the attack was 'politically motivated', adding: 'We've been talking to him and asking him about whether we should be in or out of the EU and he always said there were good arguments for both sides. He had never mentioned Jo Cox before ever, I don't think he even knew who she was.
'He couldn't even stand the sight of blood, when he cut his finger or something he couldn't look at it.'

My view:

From accounts of those close to the shooter, there seems to be no political motive for the attack.
Yet the press seems to be splashing "Britain first" all over the headlines.
The press seems to be trying to portray this sick man as a gun loving racist with links to a white supremacist group.  How in the world did they manage to get a receipt from 18 years ago showing he purchased gun making books from the United States, less than 24 hours after the incident occurred?

There are too many things that do not add up, from motive, to means, and even to opportunity.

Did this man go off his medication to control mental illness, or is there some other explanation?
