My view:
Systemic corruption in the banking industry goes unpunished by governments and regulators who look the other way.
Why do government representatives look the other way?
Because the banks are the biggest buyers of crappy government bonds that support continuous deficit spending at all government levels.
Why would government bite the hand of the banks that feed them?
This monetary construct has created a double faceted ponzi scheme.
